Elizabeth Young has an unremarkable talent for captivating readers with her spellbinding novels. Each of her stories, encompassing a mesmerizing ensemble of quirky and engaging characters, witty dialogue, and surprising twists that leaves the reader enthralled with every last word. "A Girl's Best Friend", explores London's single scene, by following the entertaining romances of its main character, “Isabel (“Izzy”) Palmer”. The novel's heroine is highly entertaining; her witty and out-spoken don't mess with me attitude, will make readers laugh out loud and in some instances, cringe from embarrassment. Though, “Izzy” seems to have met her match, in a handsome veterinarian, named “Nick”. The highly entertaining battle of wits that is played between the two characters is a perfect example of Elizabeth Young's comedic writing talent. The couple's equally combative and stubborn personalities generate curiosity and excitement regarding them, until the very last page. Another engrossing element of the novel, is the will they or won't they” anticipation that surrounds the couple’s romance throughout the story, making it an extremely gripping and enjoyable read. The novel’s witty dialogue and unanticipated development make it both amusing and enchanting. Final Review“A Girl's Best Friend”, is an extremely enjoyable read, from the novel's engaging storyline to its comical and irresistible characters. The novel is highly recommended to all fans of “Chick Lit”.
